An ode to the lawn gnome

Now... this is a present for a friend, and I haven't given it to her yet, so hopefully she doesn't see this. She has this thing with lawn gnomes and collecting them. She even was a gnome for halloween last year. It's pretty cute actually.
When I was at Michaels recently I saw a bunch of unfinished bird houses. I noticed one in particular that just looked like a tiny log cabin. I wasn't quite sure what I would do with it, but of course I had to have it.
Today I realized it would be a perfect home for some itty bitty gnomes. My friend just moved into a new house so I think it'd be a perfect new item in her home.
I used my new cricut to cut out the name. I love my cricut already by the way.
I got some stain-paint type stuff to paint the cabin. I found some tiny wood flower pots and body shapes. I added some tree-like stuff to the pot and painted the bodies. They needed their hats and beards though so I made them from felt. I added a few pre-made trees and a cute little squrriel, and then I had the perfect woodland lodge!
