Costal food excursion

So we started of the day with a trip to Mo's Chowder. My boyfriend had never been there and so it seemed to be a must. I'm not a huge seafood fan so I opted for the "chili burger," not really expecting the gigantis plate of chili I received with a hamburger patty and bun hidden somewhere inside. To say the least, there is never a day in my life I could finish such a plate. Regardless of the heart-attack waiting to happen, I gave it a go. I took the word of our server that the chili was good, and it was.... Hopefull I live until tomorrow.

I'd like to see you finish
this...

Tex-Mex beef jerky

Smoked salmon

Of course we had to stop at a smokehouse for some freshly smoked goodness. We found Mr. Bill's Village Smokehouse and it was smokey-delicious. We ended up with "Tex-Mex" beef jerky & smoked samon. Two of which men can't seem to resist, so my boyfriend was rather pleased.

Gourmet caramel apple!

Dark chocolate
covered bacon

We then stumbled upon a cute little chocolate & wine shop, Litehouse Chocolates, with the nicest owner to help us choose our truffles and treats. She had a good variety of truffles and I ended up with lemon, marionberry, creme de menthe, vanilla and a few others. We also found something for the boy as well, dark chocolate covered bacon, can you believe it? She also had some delicious looking caramel apples, I couldn't resist. A must stop chocolate shop if you're in Lincoln City, Oregon!
